Eperanza in Havana

Global Baseball does a lot of work in Cuba. This isolated country lends to so many ministry opportunities. This summer we had a large team of volunteers does home visitations, speak in home churches, do children’s ministry, including baseball and soccer. We also brought a small medical team and humanitarian aid with us as well. Bags of hygiene supplies were distributed during home visitations and were very helpful as we built relationships with people in the Havana area. During our trip, we took to the streets with copies of a gospel-focused magazine called Esperanza – “Hope”. We distributed many on the streets and in Old Havana, four men came to Christ.

Global Baseball is positioned for strong growth in Cuba in partnership with the Cuban leadership team and 105 house-churches planted with the help of our ministry since 2001. Working with local partners we now have a 3-building complex in the city of Alamar that can accommodate up to 100 people with guest rooms, kitchen facilities, hot showers and even air-conditioning. There is room to conduct leadership training programs for up to 150 church leaders, something we also do in Cuba on a regular basis.
